World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) Congress November 4-7, 2023 in Muscat (Oman)

World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) Congress 2023 was conducted on November 4-7, 2023 in Muscat (Oman). This WFUMB Congress covered all contemporary ultrasound applications, including abdominal, breast, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric ultrasound, small parts ultrasound, critical care ultrasound, etc. There were more than 1200 participants and remarkable exhibition with presentation of leading ultrasound manufacturers. First time in the WFUMB Congress program was included cerebral vascular ultrasound session based on initiative of ESCHN and NSG WFN involvement and actively promoted by Dr. Eva Bartels (Germany). This cerebrovascular session included topics of TCCD/TCCS utilization for perfusion imaging presented by Dr. Bartels (Germany), ultrasound imaging of non-atherosclerotic vasculopathies by Dr. F. Perren (Switzerland), TCD utilization for neurocritical care by Dr. A. Razumovsky (USA), overview of ultrasound of peripheral nerves by Dr. S. Gilani (Pakistan) and role of TCD for patients with sickle-cell disease by Dr. L. Fernandez (Venezuela).
